Margot Sisson:
Below Deck Down Under Season 2 (@zmargotz)
“Sam absolutely saved me during one of the most difficult times of my life. I had given up on therapy, seeing as my first 3 therapists were a total waste of time (and money). People always say you have to work to find the right therapist and it takes time, but it’s frustrating when you slowly try to open up to someone, spill your guts out, and then feel like they still don’t get you 6 months later. And then you have to start all over with someone new and the same thing happens? What’s the point? When my friend suggested Sam to me I had no expectations, no hope, and I went in feeling dead inside. I’m not kidding when I say she brought me back to life. She’s a rare breed. I always say she’s the kind of therapist that ANY person could benefit from. Her knowledge about the brain and human emotions make her sessions extremely effective, but for me it’s her warmth and the energy she gives off. The moment I saw her on my screen I felt relief, the moment she spoke I felt safe, and the moment I began talking I exploded into tears. I knew immediately I had finally found someone who would help me, and she has done exactly that. All I can think now is I wish I had met her when I was 12, but I’m so grateful to at least have her in my life now.”

I was recommended to Sam in 2021, through a friend of a friend based in Majorca, being in London, I was really pleased to hear that I could have the sessions online, and without hesitation got in touch with her, and jumped in. It really was one of the best personal development decisions I made, I was feeling lost, overwhelmed, and recognised that I needed a professional ear to support my healing journey. I found Sam, easy to talk too, direct in all the right ways, and supportive too, giving me all the right perspectives to begin to think about my life differently, and start to make the big changes that were really needed for me at that time.
So much, that has been pivotal in my life journey from then, came from those sessions. I began to let go of a lot of needed personal “baggage”. I embarked on a programme to lose weight that I had accumulated over the pandemic, changed the dynamics of friendships that were no longer supportive or serving my growth. Alongside this, I also reflected more around my family dynamics, and began to make different choices, putting into place healthier boundaries. I then decided myself to begin a psychotherapy training, as changes to my work as a yoga teacher, had also led me to so much lack of personal balance in my world, and was inspired by my time with Sam, I began this in October 2023; the start of a four-year Systemic Family and Couple’s Psychotherapy training, which I love.
I can’t recommend Sam’s support enough to anyone who feels they need support, a change of direction, or just a professional listening ear, when life can feel so overwhelming. Sam is also very kind and caring, as she continues to cheer me on from the sidelines even now, as I live my life differently and more happily, with her input being such a big part of this.
Thank you so much Sam!
